Inexpensive Home-Made Paint Rack Suggestion
Like many other painters, I seem to have a proliferation of extra bottles of paint. Bill came up with a quick and easy paint rack system for me. I really like this system. I use it in my classroom, which is very space-challenged. I have several of these mounted in different areas of the room, in groups for each of the paint brands. It's efficient and I like being able to move around each of the sections to fit my space. He's now working on a new one for all of my tube paints.

Okay, here's what one of these boxes looks like. It holds 100 bottles and measures about 15" wide x 19" tall. Each shelf holds 10 bottles. Someday maybe I'll paint these and put trim boards on them ... but I doubt it! |

In this picture, you can see the slot that supports the masonite shelf. The shelves just slide in and out -- a feature I really like because it allows me to also use the rack for larger bottles of paint. |

Here's a close-up photo of the top of the rack. |

Four racks together hold 400 bottles of paint! These are mounted under a shelf at the back of my office and hold duplicate (overflow) bottles to stock the classroom, as necessary. |

This photo looks a little distorted .. I guess because I was standing rather than sitting directly in front. I have this set sitting on the floor beside my painting table. The shelves ARE straight ... and so are the sides and top. Just looks a bit funny here. |
